Vanderbilt Consult

We left last night to stay with some friends in Hendersonville, TN so we didn't have the long drive this morning. It was really nice to hang out with them since we haven't been to there new house since they moved several months ago. They were so wonderful and Stacye even fixed us pancakes and bacon for breakfast- yum!!!

We went to our appointment at Vanderbilt this morning and boy is it a confusing place to go! We finally found the office and made it just a few minutes late. They called us back within 10 minutes and we had our ultrasound. The tech was really good and let us know what she was doing every step of the way. Then the doctor came to discuss the findings within five minutes- they were on the ball! She said that the heart looks great, which there was a little question about, but not a worry anymore- YEAH!!! Then she showed us the kidneys and the left kidney looked better than it did last week, but the right one was a little worse. She said that I would have to come once a month to monitor the situation and see if it corrects itself or gets worse. She said if it continues to get worse that they would deliver me there at about 36-37 weeks so he could have surgery to fix the issue. However, if he stays the same that I could deliver in Owensboro with my OB, but would need to see the pediatric urologist within Braden's first week to schedule a surgery to correct the problem. So we were very relieved because she was optimistic and said that she sees this issue everyday. We feel like we are in good hands and our little Braden-bug is going to be just great! So now, we keep doing what we are doing and pray that the problem fixes itself within the next few months:)

Thanks so much for the support and prayers-- they must have worked:)
