IT'S OFFICIAL!!
I got my official paperwork today- now my last name is the same as Jill's!!! We are so excited that our family will all have the same last name. AND with the drama my family has put me through and the lack of interest in this little one I am so glad not to have that connection with them anymore! It was a really easy process here. I just filled out the request and they sent it to the judge. Luckily, she signed it without any questions so I didn't even have to appear in court. I called today to check and see if it went through and it did!! So I had to pay $8.00 for them to file it and I went to the Social Security office. I will get my new cards within two weeks and I get my new license tomorrow!! I AM SO FREAKIN EXCITED!!! The pieces of the puzzle are finally coming together after all these years of ups and downs! WOO-HOO!!

How wonderful for you! I was so excited too to take Dawn's last name! And good that you did it before Braden is born. I even have my new last name on Maddie's birth certificate too. You normally put the mother's maiden name. Well, since I've never been married and my birth name has been legally changed to Dawn's last name, then technically this name is my maiden name, so when they asked me in the hospital what my maiden name was, that's what I gave them and they didn't blink an eye. I was just happy that she and I have the same last name on her BC. Congrats you too. I'm so happy for you!
