OB and Vanderbilt News

We went to our OB on Monday and she said that everything is looking great and that I am measuring right on target. She also told me I needed to have my Glucose tolerance test- yuck and some more bloodwork. So I will do that sometime this week. All is good for this visit:)

On Wednesday we went back to Vanderbilt to meet with our High Risk OB and the Pediatric Urologist. The urologist explained the testing Braden would need if the problem persists and was super nice about answering any questions we had. He said he sees this ALOT and not to worry. Then we went to the high risk doctor to have our ultrasound and his left kidney is now totally normal and his right side is even smaller than last time- YEAH!!! His amniotic fluid was at a great level so he has enough output, which is also a great sign! The doc said that she thinks he will grow out of it and more than likely he will not have to have surgery!!!! Obviously, we were extremely happy with this news. She said we need to come back one more time in 8 weeks to make sure he is continuing to improve and then we will not have to come back again!! They are a SUPER nice group of people, but I would be very happy not to HAVE to go back there with an issue:)

We also got some great shots of our little man. They said he is above the 90th percentile in size and that we should have a big boy:) I hope not too big though!! On a funny note, when they were trying to get a picture of his "manly" parts they couldn't because his hand was down there playing with it- he he!! The penis fascination has already started!! We cracked up when the doctor showed us on the screen, he finally let go of his little toy and they got a good shot- yup we still have a little boy:)

I want to thank all of you for your prayers and special messages! They have obviously worked for our little baby bug and I cannot express enough thanks and gratitude for the support and well wishes along the way. I appreciate you following our journey and sticking with us through all the ups and downs of our babymaking journey:) Thank you so much and GOD BLESS!!

That is WONDERFUL news! Yay! As for having a big boy... you probably will have a big boy but not as big as they say. They told us our baby was 10 lbs 3 oz at an ultrasound a week before the due date. He was born one day after the due date at 9 lbs 5 oz. So don't get too stressed if they tell you your kid is huge!
