Three years ago we decided to start trying for a baby and here we are... still on the journey. Of course we had many a conversation about being ready to be parents, how our lives would drastically change, raising a child with two moms, sleepless nights, opening our hearts to joy, excitement, worry, love, disappointment, etc... AND the list went on and on! We talked to friends that have children and friends that don't-- just trying to imagine all the possibilities our lives could hold. I was and always have been totally for creating a family with Jill, but she still had some things she wanted to do before being tied down (too tightly- HA! HA!).
So about a year ago, we were laying in bed and Jill looked at me and told me she was ready for us to have a baby. It was the greatest feeling to hear those words! I always knew she wasn't quite as ready as I was, but now she was telling me she was ready for her reasons-- not just mine:) WOW!!
Then yesterday, as we were driving down the street, all the sudden she says, "I want to have a baby so bad!" I immediately got tears in my eyes! I know, I know- I'm an emotional dork, but it was really great to hear! I love that she is THAT ready for us to create our family! She went on to tell me all the wonderful things she wanted to do with the little one, like go strolling in the park, playing on the floor, feeding them, hearing them say "I love you", teaching them how to play basketball, etc... Boy does she have big plans for this little boy or girl!
So... here we are gearing up for try #8!! Hoping that now we're both on the same track, our dreams will become a reality!!
