Team Blue!!!

That's right-- IT'S A BOY!!! We got to see our little Braden Lee today and he has all his parts and everything is in the right place! He was moving all around and playing peek-a-boo with us! We are so in love!! We have some great pics that I will put up soon- I promise:) They did find that his little kidneys are enlarged because they are not releasing all the fluid they should, so they are sending us to Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee to see a specialist and get a more detailed anatomy scan. Our OB did not seem REALLY concerned, but said she wanted to do what is best for the baby and I. Best case-- it gets better with time and we deliver as planned. Worst case- the fluid continues to build and I have to be closely monitored and deliver at Vanderbuilt early so the baby can have a surgery to fix the problem. She did say that she has seen much worse cases than ours and the baby is just fine. However, she said not to get on the Internet because there are lots of sites that print things that are not true, which we all know:) So please keep us all in your prayers that the little one grows out of this and all is well. I will update again after we meet with the specialist. Thanks so much for sharing this amazing journey with us and for giving us all your wonderful support! It means the world to both Jill and I!!

Love you all and God bless!!!

Yeah!!! I'm SO glad you posted. I've been checking your blog all day and I was gettin' worried! Love the name you've picked out. Isn't it wonderful getting to call him by name now. When we found out, we started calling her Maddie right away. Dawn and I are so happy for you. Stay positive regarding the kidney issue. When I was diagnosed with the single umbilical artery, I was told that there could be kidney issues (along with several other things) so I got close monitoring too. And I worried for nothing. Everything was perfect. Your little Braden will be a healthy little boy too, I'm sure. Sending positive thoughts your way. Take care.

OH congrats (and I guessed right, I can't believe it)!!! Don't worry about the kidney thing- my cousin had that with both of her kids and they both outgrew it before birth. Belly pats Braden :D
