Hospital Again

Yup you read it right:)

I had a pretty good day at school, my BP was up a little this morning but then went back down and I was good all day. I came home and took a nap, we got something to eat, went shopping, and visited some friends. Then we came back home and I got in the bath and relaxed before heading to bed. Seems good to this point, right?

I was close to getting asleep when I started feeling some slight contractions. I glanced at the clock and tried to sleep some more. Then I felt another one and another one and I looked at the clock and only two minutes had passed! So I switched sides and still had several more so I called for Jill to come in the room and my contractions were coming 1 a minute for about 15 minutes. They were short and not real powerful, but they still worried us. We decided to call my OB and she told me to go to Labor & Delivery to be monitored.

The nurses got me all set up and I was having some nice contractions and my BP was up. Luckily, my BP came down after about 30 minutes and she checked me. I was still only a fingertip dilated, which is good because the contractions weren't progressing me any further-- this is good news for me and Braden:) They gave me a shot to stop the contractions and after about an hour they calmed down, but Dr. Ottman wanted me to stay there over night to make sure Braden and I were okay. I REALLY did not want to do this and was up ALL night, but of course I will do whatever it takes to get him here safe and sound. Jill slept off and on because she needed to go to work- she wants to save her days for when Braden is actually here:) My OB came in early this morning and gave me a prescription to take to stop my contractions and told me to take off work the rest of the week and come into the office on Monday morning to see if I can go back to work or not. I would really like to work 1-2 more weeks, but I might not be able to.

Please send some prayers for Jill, Braden, and I to hang in there a few more weeks:) Thanks to all of you!!! I really appreciate the emails and well wishes--- I have such great blog friends!!

Oh wow! He's getting ready. Don't worry, he's not too early. My sister had her baby at 36 weeks and she was perfectly fine and healthy.

Oh my...you SO don't have to send me a thank you. I am 1. glad that you and Braden are OK. When I dropped the package off I did not have it taped at all and he took it in the back and I was worried! :) He was a strange little man. I'm glad you hadn't dialated any more. Stay relaxed!
