Last February was my first experience with an HSG and it didn't feel really great. For those of you that do not know--- an HSG is when they put dye into your uterus and it is supposed to easily spill through your fallopian tubes. All of this is viewed by using an X-Ray machine. Well, I was one of the lucky ones that had the dye that did not easily spill so they kept pushing air into me which did not feel good AT ALL! The doctor was a little worried for about 4 seconds then the dye finally spilled and cleared out the blockage- YEAH!
So next week, I will go for round two. The doctor recommended this since we had the miscarriage last year. He just wants to make sure that the tubes are working properly and that there isn't any "gunk" blocking the way for our next try. Plus, if I am going to be spending the big bucks to get pregnant, I want to have everything working in our favor.
